Repairing political trust in Tunisia

Purpose This study aims to identify the responses required repair political trust in Tunisia and differences between two key stakeholder groups, namely, politicians voters. Design/methodology/approach A sequential mixed method was adopted using data sources: semi-structured interviews conducted with citizens politicians; media from TV talk shows. Data collected over a three-year period following several events that affected trust. Findings New were identified trust, these categorized framework. In addition short- long-term responses, new category, swift response, resolve immediate uncertainty. The role of trustor (i.e. voters) actively restoring for first time. Research limitations/implications focussed on suggested by voters not necessarily implemented government or parties during study. effectiveness repairing evaluated.
